About Me

My name is Nitya Shah (he/him), and I’m a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) student in Chemical Engineering here at Queen’s. I am thrilled to be part of Q-ACS this year and to contribute to its dynamic initiatives in my role as a Graduate Affiliate. This position allows me to engage more deeply with the Queen’s chemistry community and support the Chapter’s growth.

Born in Mumbai but having spent most of my life in Vadodara, India, I have always been passionate about innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. My academic interests lie in polymer chemistry, processing, and chemical process optimization, where I strive to explore advancements that drive efficiency and sustainability.

Outside of academics, I’m an avid traveller and hiker, always seeking new adventures. You’ll often find me playing ping pong or badminton when I’m not outdoors. I look forward to an exciting year with Q-ACS and the incredible opportunities ahead!
