The Queen’s University Chapter of the American Chemical Society (Q-ACS) is thrilled to announce that Q-ACS is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Q-ACS Excellence Awards that will be presented at our annual reception this upcoming May: “Chemists Helping Others: Celebrating Leadership in the Community.” These recognitions aim to celebrate outstanding contributions in various categories.

1.     Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Respect (DEIR)

2.     Excellence in Leadership and Empowerment Award

3.     Excellence in Research

Undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty and staff can submit nominations; self-nominations are also accepted. Categories 1 and 2 are open to (under)graduate students and postdoctoral scholars; category 3 is only open to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. 

The nomination form is to be submitted by the lead nominator. All nominations must be accompanied by exactly one letter of support, submitted either attached to the nomination form or sent to qacsexcellenceawards@gmail.com, accompanied with the following subject line: “Q-ACS Excellence Award Nomination for Nominee Name.” In the case of a self-nomination, the letter must come from an individual who is not the (self-)nominee. The deadline to submit nominations for all awards is March 15th at 5 pm ET.
