About Me

My name is Dr. Hriday Bhattacharjee (he/him). I am a Research Associate in the Chemical Engineering Department at Queen’s University. I first joined Queen’s in 2019 as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Chemistry department and have been an active part of the community ever since, engaging in research, teaching, and mentoring.

Originally from India, I moved to Canada to pursue my PhD. My work spans synthetic chemistry, biosensing, electrochemistry, and Raman spectroscopy. I enjoy collaborating across disciplines to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Outside the lab, I love travelling and photography—they help me recharge and find inspiration. I’m also passionate about supporting students and young professionals, which led me to my new role as the Director of Career Development at Q-ACS. I’m excited to contribute to the chemical community in Kingston and help others navigate their career paths.
