Members of Q-ACS Dan Reddy, Rachel Korchinsky, and José Giovanni Leite de Brito as well as fellow Queen's University university students Raz Abbasi and Alex Redmond MacDonald participated in this year's ACS Green Chemistry Institute Summer School at the University of Vermont. The Chapter had the opportunity to meet with Dr. David A. Laviska, who is an inspiration for the Chapter.
A big shout-out to the exceptional team David A. Laviska, Sederra Ross, Ph.D., Cecilia Smith, Christiana Briddell, Edmond Lam, Isamir Martínez, Ph.D., PMP, and Adelina Voutchkova, who organized and hosted this event with skill, kindness, and warmth. Their efforts created memories that will last a lifetime.
***The ACS Green and Sustainable Chemistry Summer School (GSCSS) is a highly selective week-long program for graduate students and postdoctoral chemists and engineers. Each year, approximately 60 exceptional students from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean are selected from a large pool of applicants and gather for this fully funded once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.***
