In February 2024, Q-ACS collaborated with Queen’s Chemistry – Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness Society (QC-IDEAS) to co-host a series of events as part of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry’s (IUPAC) Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) initiative. With financial support from the ACS Student Communities – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR) grant program, Q-ACS and QC-IDEAS were able to provide a catered breakfast and lunch to all attendees. The event included a seminar series featuring Dr. Cathleen "Cathy" Crudden (Queen’s Chemistry), Dr. Rachel Baker (Smith Engineering – Chemical Engineering), and Dr. Diane Beauchemin (Queen’s Chemistry), as well as a panel discussion later in the day that featured Dr. Neha Panchal (Queen’s Physics), Montse Mora Ochomongo (Queen’s DBMS), and Shamsa Hassan (Afiya Beauty).
