About the event
On May 8th, 2026, the Queen’s University International Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society (Q-ACS) will host its 4th Annual Spring Reception as a gala at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. This special event will follow the ACS International Historic Chemical Landmark Designation Ceremony, also hosted by Q-ACS.

Bringing together students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty/staff, and community members, the evening will offer a space to reflect on the Landmark designation and engage in meaningful dialogue about leadership in the community across disciplines, including but not limited to the chemical sciences.
The event will conclude with the presentation of (Q)-ACS Awards, recognizing exceptional contributions from Queen’s students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty/staff. This annual gathering is a celebration of community, as well as a tribute and call to recognize and inspire the next generation of leaders.
