About the event
The Queen’s University International Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society (Q-ACS) is excited to host the McRae Lecture, featuring two-time Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Dr. K. Barry Sharpless, on Thursday, May 7th, 2026.
Dr. Sharpless is internationally recognized for pioneering work that has transformed modern chemistry. Q-ACS is honoured to host Dr. Sharpless, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (2001) for his work on chirally catalysed oxidation reactions and (2022) for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.
Join us for this special lecture to hear insights from a visionary scientist whose discoveries have (re)shaped how chemists design and build molecules.
